POSITION SCOPE

This individual will be providing project management for the installations ensuring all installations are done to Empire’s exacting level of quality and safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the installation teams
  • Sets up the projects with respect to assuring proper equipment and installation support are available and that permits and rebate applications are processed
  • Interfaces with permitting agencies and inspectors during installations
  • Evaluates installation requirements and develops detailed system designs. Works with Systems Engineers for more complex installations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Minimum 3 years experience designing and installing residential and commercial solar electric systems (minimum of 50 systems installed). Extensive experience leading installation teams.
  • Licensed C-10 contractors license ( additional C-46 license will be favorably considered)
  • NABCEP certification preferred
  • Experience with electrical wiring in residential applications
  • Experience with photovoltaic system designs and AC and DC electrical systems
  • Knowledge of NEC Code, Universal and local Building Codes
  • Experience securing permits and working with building inspectors
  • Computer Knowledge Requirements: Basic capabilities with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook required.

Sales Consultant

POSITION SCOPE

This is a full-time, contracted position playing a critical role in the execution of our solar electric business strategy. This individual will establish relationships and be the preliminary point of contact with potential solar customers. They will be responsible for communicating the value of a solar electric system, addressing customers’ question, and converting leads into sales. This is a key position in the organization, and we are looking for a dynamic individual that will be able to help develop a leading organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Qualify leads and close deals to residential solar customers. Some prospecting for leads may also be required, though marketing efforts and call center support should drive most leads.
  • Articulate the benefits of the Empire Solar services and solutions.
  • Visit customers’ homes to evaluate site conditions and customers’ energy usage
  • Develop and present customer with system economic analysis - including costs, savings, break-even analysis, and return on investment.
  • Perform preliminary system sizing and design
  • Prepare quotes for customers; negotiate and secure purchase agreements.
  • Maintain database of customer contacts and interactions.
  • Manage the relationship with the potential customers.
  • Support the rebate submission process.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Minimum 3 years experience selling residential solar electric with a proven ability to close deals.
  • Experience assessing residential energy use and sizing/designing solar electric systems.
  • Strong understanding of photovoltaic technologies, manufacturers, and suppliers
  • Understanding of the various CSI rebate computations and the rebate application processes.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Computer Knowledge Requirements: Basic capabilities with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook required.

Design Engineer

POSITION SCOPE

This is a full-time position playing a critical role in the execution of our solar electric business strategy. This individual will help assess customers’ energy usage patterns and needs, conduct energy audits to identify opportunities for improved energy efficiency, and design the solar electric systems to meet the customers’ needs. This is a key position in the organization and we are looking for a dynamic individual that will be able to help develop a leading organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design solar electric systems for residential and small commercial installations
  • Support sales efforts by providing the required information about impacts to energy usage and utility costs.
  • Draft system diagrams and drawings as needed to support the permitting and installation processes.
  • Identify material/component requirements for each installation.
  • Interfaces with permitting agencies and inspectors as needed. Identify potential issues with building codes
  • Support the rebate submission process.
  • Visit customers’ homes to evaluate energy usage, audit for potential energy efficiency improvements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Minimum 2 years experience designing residential solar electric systems (minimum of 50 systems designed).
  • Strong understanding of photovoltaic technologies, manufacturers, and suppliers
  • Experience with electrical wiring in residential applications
  • Knowledge of NEC Code, Universal and local Building Codes
  • Experience securing permits and working with building inspectors
  • Understanding of the various CSI rebate computations and the rebate application processes
  • Experience conducting energy efficiency audits of residential buildings preferred
  • Good customer service skills.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred – Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical)

Installers

POSITION SCOPE

An Empire Solar Solutions is looking for sub-contractor solar installers. Their job focus is to provide our clients with a quality installation and customer service second to none. we are looking to team up with licensed contractors (C10 or C46) with solar installation experience. We are seeking energetic individuals who are able to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Sub-contractors will be responsible for the installation of the photovoltaic solar systems on new and existing homes within Southern California Territories.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze/Pre-site jobs prior to beginning the solar installation for proper bidding and to assure a quality installation will be done
  • Pull solar permits as required
  • Receive, secure, and deliver material to installations (modules, inverters, racking, etc)
  • Install roof and/or ground mounted photovoltaic systems along with all essential components required to complete the system and pass inspection
  • Notify Project Manager of any change orders required, share design ideas and raise any code issue
  • Provides a quality solar installation on all jobs; guarantee workmanship
  • Manage Customer Service issues and workmanship issues in a timely fashion
  • Create and exhibit a sense of ownership
  • Create and support a safe work environment
  • Customer Satisfaction should be your number one goal
  • Manage and handle all paperwork to the prescribed standards of Empire Solar Solutions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Minimum 3 years experience installing photovoltaic solar systems
  • Must have Commercial General Liability, Workers’ Compensation and Employer’s Liability Insurance Coverage that meets Empire Solar Solutions’ requirements
  • Experience pulling solar permits and performing final inspections
  • Must have a dependable vehicle and all necessary tools to perform proper solar installations
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and Uniform Building Codes
  • Experience in managing your own business and associates, a self-motivated work style
  • Ability to read and understand solar installation plans and schematics
  • Good customer service skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills
